I had read about the jacket online after searching for a brown mesh jacket. I was impressed by the style and color and price. Found out right away that they had sold out almost immediately and were on backorder. Of course the staff at Piston Society were able to help track it down for me.
First impressions were very positive. Great fit with or without adding the back armor (I’m 5’10”, 150lbs, ordered M), high quality materials, stitching, zippers, etc for the price. I like the drab brown color a lot, and appreciate that all the trim/zippers/logos/snaps are in matte black. Soft material inside collar was thoughtful and is comfortable. Very simple, clean, fitted look overall.
I’ve been wearing the jacket for my daily commuting for a couple weeks now. I haven’t ridden with a mesh jacket before, so I was immediately wowed by the very nice “air conditioner” type feel of the wind blowing through to chest, back, and shoulders. Even in 80+ degree afternoon rush hour highway track it has stayed comfortably cool.
Zippers never snag, easy to get in and out of without armor getting wonky, arms don’t ride up, long enough in back to not ride up over belt, nothing is itchy, comfy with a laptop backpack.
